From run training in the desert of Saudi Arabia via marathons in Bahamas or North Korea to Ironman triathlon in Austria and Malaysia, from Challenge Wanaka in New Zealand to swimming in the Antarctica or travelling to all countries of the world: The travel and race reports by Thomas Brackmann are full of rich and wonderful experiences and include some funny moments. The reader learns a lot about marathon and triathlon races, different countries and cultures, variant ways of travelling, training, and partying around the globe.
The book is written in the I perspective of Thomas Brackmann. The writing style is made in a very talkative style. It is like the writer tells all his stories to a friend. That makes the book very entertaining; it is full of the individual impressions, personal thoughts, and tips and tricks of the writer. Reading the book can make you feel like you have actually been on one of these trips yourself, if not, most likely you will be encouraged to do so.
