PATRICIA REID-MERRITT, DSW, is Professor and former coordinator of the Social Work and African American Studies Program at Richard Stockton College in Poona, New Jersey. She is the recipient of numerous honors and awards, including the NAACP Freedom Award, and is listed in Who?s Who Among Black Americans.
