Dr Aboul Ella Hassanein is the Founder and Head of the Egyptian Scientific Research Group (SRGE) and a Professor of Information Technology at the Faculty of Computer and Information, Cairo University. Professor Hassanien is ex-dean of the faculty of computers and information, Beni Suef University. Professor Hassanien has more than 800 scientific research papers published in prestigious international journals and over 40 books covering such diverse topics as data mining, medical images, intelligent systems, social networks and smart environment. Prof. Hassanien won several awards including the Best Researcher of the Youth Award of Astronomy and Geophysics of the National Research Institute, Academy of Scientific Research (Egypt, 1990). He was also granted a scientific excellence award in humanities from the University of Kuwait for the 2004 Award, and received the superiority of scientific – University Award (Cairo University, 2013). Also He honored in Egypt as the best researcher in Cairo University in 2013. He was also received the Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO) prize on Technology (2014) and received the state Award for excellence in engineering sciences 2015. He was awarded the medal of Sciences and Arts of the first class by the President of the Arab Republic of Egypt, 2017.
Professor Ashraf Darwish is a Professor of Computer Science and former Acting Head of the Mathematics and Computer Science Department at the Faculty of Science, Helwan University, Egypt. He earned his Ph.D. in computer science from Saint Petersburg State University, Russian Federation, in 2006. Professor Darwish is the Vice Chair of the Scientific Research School in Egypt (SRSEG), formerly called Scientific Research Group in Egypt (SRGE), in Computer Science and Information Technology. Professor Ashraf Darwish is a distinguished Professor with a focus on advancing Artificial Intelligence (AI) and its applications, specializing in areas such as machine learning, deep learning, and computer vision. His expertise extends to cutting-edge technologies like Digital Twins the emerging field of the Metaverse, Explainable Artificial Intelligence, and Generative Artificial Intelligence. With a rich academic background, Professor Darwish serves as the editor-in-chief and associate editor for several prestigious international journals, and he holds senior membership in various computing international associations, including IEEE. His extensive academic journey is marked by numerous contributions, encompassing papers, books, and book chapters published in reputable international journals and conference proceedings. From 2011 to 2015, Professor Darwish represented Egypt in diplomatic affairs as the Cultural and Educational Chancellor to the Republic of Kazakhstan and Central Asia. Acknowledging his outstanding contributions, Professor Darwish was honored with the Best Researcher award in 2014 at Helwan University, Egypt. Notably, he is recognized among the top 2% of top-cited scientists in Artificial Intelligence & Image Processing, as well as subfields of Fluids & Plasmas and Information & Communication Technologies, based on Stanford University’s Ioannidis’s index published in 2022 and 2023. Currently, Professor Darwish holds the esteemed position of Chancellor at the Egyptian Chinese University in Cairo. Additionally, he is a Member of the Council of Communication Research and Information Technology at ASRT, Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research of Egypt.
Sally Elghamrawy is the Head of Communications & Computer Engineering Department and Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development at MISR higher institution for Engineering and technology. She is also a senior member in the Scientific Research School of Egypt (SRSEG). She is an experienced Professor with a demonstrated history of working in the faculty of Engineering in the American University in Cairo -AUC and the British university in Egypt-BUE and faculty of Engineering in the Mansoura University. Strong professional education with a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph D)focused in Computer Engineering from Faculty of Engineering, Mansoura University. Due to her efforts, she received the State Award 2021- Women Encouragement award in the field of Energy, Water, Environmental and Engineering Sciences. She received the Federation of Arab Scientific Research Councils Prize 2019 -in the field of artificial intelligence. She is in the editorial Review Board or different international journals: International Journal of Ambient Computing and Intelligence Published by IGI Global. She is a reviewer for different Highly ranked International Journals such as Expert Systems with Applications (Elsevier), Information Sciences (Elsevier), IEEE access, the Journal of Supercomputing (Springer), Grid Computing (Elsevier) and Evolutionary Intelligence (Springer). She is an editor for a number of international books: Recent Books are published by Springer International Publishing. She had been promoted to Professor and associate professor with scientific excellence with 98% grade. She is a certified reviewer at the National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation of Education. She has authored many journal articles in reputed and prestigious peer-reviewed journals including Future Generation Computer Systems (Elsevier), IEEE Access, and Grid Computing (Springer), receiving best paper awards. She is a Senior IEEE Member. She is a Reviewer in the judging committee for the international competition NASA Space Apps Hackathon 2019 held at the American University in Cairo AUC. A Judge in the Egyptian Engineering Day under the supervision of IEEE Egypt Young Professionals. She participates in a number of international research projects funded by several international universities in cooperation with the Scientific Research group in Egypt.
