Dr Afungmeyu Jane-Francis Abongdia is a Senior Lecturer and Acting Language Coordinator in the Faculty of Business and Management Science at the Cape Peninsula University of Technology, South Africa. Her research interests include language policy and planning, language ideologies and attitudes, politics of language, multilingualism and planning, second language acquisition, language teaching methods, intercultural communication, and academic literacy and development, amongst others.
