Commentary on the Epistle to the Ephesians is a theological book by Charles Hodge, one of his greatest exegetical works. The Epistle to the Ephesians is the tenth book of the New Testament written by Paul the Apostle. Major themes in Ephesians are the keeping of Christ’s body pure and holy and for Christians to get along with each other. The author gives practical advice in how to live a holy, pure, and Christ-inspired lifestyle. Charles Hodge (1797-1878) was a Reformed Presbyterian theologian and principal of Princeton Theological Seminary between 1851 and 1878. He was a leading exponent of the Princeton Theology, an orthodox Calvinist theological tradition in America during the 19th century. Hodge wrote many biblical and theological works. He argued strongly for the authority of the Bible as the Word of God. Many of his ideas were adopted in the 20th century by Fundamentalists and Evangelicals.
