I started writing poetry when I was in my early teens. I dont know why. Thinking about this sometime later, I realized it was a way of expressing my feelings and thoughts, possibly helping me to understand them. I have been writing poetry for over sixty odd years, so I suppose, in a way, it could be regarded as my diary. The poems cover a wide range of feelings and thoughts. There is something for everyone. I do hope you enjoy them and get something from them. The beauty of writing poetry is that, when you read what you have written, you learn from them.
O autorze
I was born on the first of May 1936 in Clayton-le-Moors, Lancashire. I loved my primary school education, but I soon began to hate grammar school. We moved over to Jersey in the Channel Islands in 1966, eventually taking up employment at Hautlieu Grammar School as a laboratory technician. It was very enjoyable, being able to help young people enjoy learning. I have been retired now for quite a number of years but still enjoy walking, gardening, and life.
