Madhumita Pal received her Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering from the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore in 2014 and then worked as a postdoctoral fellow at Ecole Centrale de Nantes, France. She received the European Union Erasmus Mundus Postdoctoral fellowship in 2014. She obtained her M.Tech from Jadavpur University and her B.E. degree from Vidyasagar University with Honours in the Electrical Engineering department. She is an Associate Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering at the Institute of Engineering Management in Kolkata. Her research areas include Control, Estimation, Multi-Agent Systems, Distributed Control, and Formation Control. Josep M. Guerrero completed his B.S. degree in Telecommunications Engineering, M.S. degree in Electronics Engineering, and Ph.D. in Power Electronics from the Technical University of Catalonia, Barcelona, in 1997, 2000, and 2003, respectively. He is currently pursuing an M.Sc. Degree in Psychobiology and Cognitive Neuroscience at the Autonomous University of Barcelona. Since 2011, he has been a Full Professor in the Department of Energy Technology at Aalborg University, Denmark, directing the Microgrid Research Program. Additionally, he holds positions as a guest Professor at the Chinese Academy of Science, Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Shandong University, Hunan University, Aston University (UK), and Nanjing University of Posts and Telecommunications. In 2019, he became a Villum Investigator supported by The Villum Fonden, founding and directing the Center for Research on Microgrids (CROM) at Aalborg University. Prof. Guerrero”s research interests revolve around microgrid aspects, including power electronics, distributed energy-storage systems, hierarchical and cooperative control, energy management systems, cybersecurity, smart metering, and the internet of things for AC/DC microgrid clusters and islanded mini-grids. He is also focused on maritime microgrids for electrical ships, vessels, ferries, and seaports, as well as space microgrids applied to nanosatellites closed bioecological systems, and smart medical systems. Prof. Guerrero is an Associate Editor for several IEEE TRANSACTIONS journals and has published over 800 journal papers in microgrids and renewable energy systems, with more than 80, 000 citations. He has been recognized as a Highly Cited Researcher by Clarivate Analytics for eight consecutive years, from 2014 to 2021, and has received various awards, including the IEEE Bimal Bose Award for Industrial Electronics Applications in Energy Systems in 2021 and the IEEE PES Douglas M. Staszesky Distribution Automation Award in 2022. Pierluigi Siano earned his M.Sc. degree in Electronic Engineering and his Ph.D. degree in Information and Electrical Engineering from the University of Salerno, Salerno, Italy, in 2001 and 2006, respectively. He was recognized as a Highly Cited Researcher by ISI Web of Science Group in 2019. He holds the position of Professor and Scientific Director of the Smart Grids and Smart Cities Laboratory in the Department of Management & Innovation Systems at the University of Salerno. His research focuses on demand response, the integration of distributed energy resources in smart grids, and the planning and management of power systems. He has co-authored more than 450 papers. Debapriya Das earned his Ph.D. from the Indian Institute of Technology in New Delhi, his M.Tech. in Power System Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology in Kharagpur, and his B.E. in Electrical Engineering from Calcutta University. He has worked at various institutions including Birla Institute of Technology (Ranchi), TERI (New Delhi), BITS (Pilani, Rajasthan), and University of Roorkee (now known as Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee) before joining IIT Kharagpur in 1997 as a Professor. Since April 2007, he holds the position of Professor there. He has developed four video courses as part of the National Programme on Technology Enhanced Learning (NPTEL). The courses, namely Power System Analysis, Power System Engineering, Fundamentals of Electrical Engineering, and Power System Dynamics, Control, and Monitoring, are available on You Tube, with each course having a duration of 30 hours. Professor Das has supervised 22 Ph.D. students and around 40 Master”s thesis students. Currently, he is supervising 9 Ph.D. students. He also serves as a reviewer for many international journals and holds various administrative positions at IIT Kharagpur. Additionally, he has been recognized as one of the world’s top 2% of scientists in the research area of „Energy” by Stanford University, USA. Swati Chowdhuri is a Professor at the Institute of Engineering and Management. She obtained her Ph.D. and M.Tech from Jadavpur University, and her B.E. in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Burdwan University with Honours. Her research interests include MIMO communication, Mobile communication, Mobile ad-hoc network, Signal Processing, Image Processing, and Robotics. Dr. Chowdhuri has more than 50 publications in international journals and conferences, with one Australian patent and one Indian patent to her name. In addition, she received the Women Research Award in the International Scientist Award in 2021. Dr. Chowdhuri has 15 years of teaching experience in various institutes in West Bengal.
