Dr. H. Ramachandran is currently the Director of the Institute of Applied Manpower Research and was earlier Executive Director of the National Society for Promotion of Development Administration, Research and Training, Mussoorie. Prior to this he was associated with the Lai Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration, Mussoorie, the Delhi School of Economics and the Institute for Social and Economic Change, Bangalore. He has a number of books and papers in the field of urban and rural development to his credit. The Supreme Court Monitoring Committee was constituted by the Hon”ble Supreme Court of India under a judgement of 30.8.1988 in a Public Interest Litigation Case, for monitoring the environment issues in Doon Valley.
