Erwin Chemerinsky is the Dean and Jesse H. Choper Distinguished Professor of Law, University of California, Berkeley School of Law. He is the author of 15 other books, including leading casebooks and treatises on constitutional law, criminal procedure, and federal courts, and most recently of Presumed Guilty: How the Supreme Court Empowered the Police and Subverted Civil Rights and The Supreme Court in Transition, October Term 2020. He frequently argues appellate cases, including in the United States Supreme Court. In January 2021, he was chosen to be President-Elect of the Association of American Law Schools. He is the author of 19 other books and over 200 law review articles. He frequently argues appellate cases, including in the United States Supreme Court.
