IAN REID is the author of fifteen books – novels, poetry and several kinds of non-fiction. His writings have been translated into five languages and won international acclaim including the Antipodes Prize for poetry. The Madwoman”s Coat is his fifth historical novel. Born in New Zealand, he now lives in Perth and is an Adjunct Professor in English and Literary Studies at the University of Western Australia.
