Das Thema religiöser Wahrheit ist innerhalb der Praktischen Theologie in den vergangenen Jahrzehnten kaum explizit bearbeitet worden, obwohl theologisches Arbeiten stets mit der Wahrheitsfrage verwoben und mit impliziten Geltungsansprüchen verbunden ist. Zugleich machen aktuelle religionspolitische Entwicklungen die Probleme und dramatischen Konsequenzen einliniger Wahrheitsansprüche überdeutlich. Eine verstärkte Selbstverständigung über die normativen Orientierungen eigener Theoriebildung und öffentlicher Deutungsmacht ist daher für die Praktische Theologie so sinnvoll wie notwendig. Dafür sind andere Deutungsperspektiven von hoher Erschließungskraft: Denn etwa in Literatur, Kunst und digitalen Medien bilden sich intensive Suchbewegungen nach religiöser Wahrheit ab. Im vorliegenden Band werden aktuelle Deutungen der Rede von religiöser Wahrheit interdisziplinär reflektiert und in ihrer Bedeutung für einzelne praktisch-theologisch bearbeitete Kommunikations- und Handlungsfelder wie Bildung, Seelsorge oder Predigt erörtert.

The issue of religious truth has in recent decades not been an explicit matter of practical-theological reflection and research, though theological work is always intertwined with the question of truth and implicit claims of valid communication and interpretation.
