Audiences in Connecticut and the New York areas, have been fortunate to have in our midst a Jamaican entertainer, Janice Hart, whose performances many agrees could easily match that of Jamaican Icon Hon Louise Bennett. In fact, it is the belief of many that Hart who performs as “Miss Matty Lou.” Janice resides in USA and has kept the Jamaican culture alive. She is a phenomenal storyteller, poet, keynote speaker and diversity consultant-a true renaissance woman Janice, who thrills the audience wherever she performs, and has appeared on several television shows on CPTV, WFSB and WTNH. Several articles have been published about her in the Jamaica overseas Gleaner and other local US paper. Janice has been an invited guest to the White House during Caribbean Heritage month and performed one of her famous poems titled, “I am so glad you came.”
