Jim Shepard, geboren 1956, lebt mit seiner Familie in Williamstown, Massachusetts und lehrt am Williams College. Er hat sechs Romane und vier Erzählsammlungen veröffentlicht und hat u. a. The Story Prize gewonnen. Viele seiner Erzählungen sind in den Anthologien von „The Best American Short Stories“ vertreten.Claudia Wenner lebt als Schriftstellerin, Publizistin und Übersetzerin in Frankfurt und Pondicherry. Sie übersetzte u. a. Werke von Virginia Woolf und gab eine Anthologie indischer Literatur heraus, „Die Geister Indiens“ (2006). Für C.H.Beck übersetzte sie den Roman „Das verbotene Glück der anderen“ von Manu Joseph (2012).
