John Jones was born and raised in Newport New, Virginia. He Graduated from Warwick High School and later from William and Mary Virginia Polytechnic Institute, Extension. (Now Old Dominion University), Norfolk, Virginia. He retired after 42 years as a Marine Design Engineer and now lives in Brentwood, Tennessee.
