I have been working as a professional artist, illustrator and designer for well over 25 years, selling work both at home and abroad.
I spent my early life in Wilmslow, Cheshire surrounded by a varied landscape, embracing gentle rolling hills to the wild drama and open spaces of the Peak District. My childhood consisted of countless outdoor rambles, from the Lakeland Mountains to Cornish coastal paths, all of which are ingrained in my memory and provide inspiration to this day.
In recent years I have returned to my fine art past, deriving inspiration from the familiar landscapes of my childhood and the holidays spent exploring the coasts of North Wales and Cornwall, where I regularly return.
I continue to produce work on site and from my busy studio at home. I use an array of techniques and mediums in order to recreate the sensual pleasures of texture and from and to capture the drama and magic of the landscape and the light and atmosphere of the coast.
