The present is the most complete translation of Caasar yet presented to the English public. Besides the books deemed authentic, it includes those variously attributed to Hirtius and others, namely, the eighth book of the Gallic War, and the Alexandrian, African, and Spanish Wars. In addition to these, the Frag ments, consisting of quotations from various ancient authors relating to Caesar, are now for the first time given in English.
