Dr. Lea Ausch Alteras holds a Ph.D. in Psychology from the City University of New York (CUNY) Graduate Center, as well as a Psychoanalytic degree from the Psychoanalytic Institute of New York. She has been an Associate Professor at Hunter College ( CUNY). In her private practice she specializes in women’s periods of transitional development. In addition, Dr. Ausch is the daughter of Holocaust survivors and author of a book on the subject, as well as articles and reviews in scholarly journals. She lives with her husband in New York City.
