Charles H. Powers (Ph D, University of California at Riverside) is professor of sociology at Santa Clara University. Under his leadership the sociology program at Santa Clara won the American Sociological Association’s Distinguished Contributions to Teaching Award in 1998. He is the author of several books and research articles focusing on sociological theory and on change management in organizations.
