This book Davidson’s Dictionary for Nurses, prepared for nurses. This edition is prepared for the nursing council students to understand the terms easily. The definitions were chosen with nurses in active practice and student of nurses chiefly in mind. The unique feature of this dictionary is that it is not an abbreviated medical dictionary; it was designed especially for nurses. The constantly expanding role of the professional nurse and the accompanying increase in nursing functions, activities, and responsibilities require that a reference source meet the needs created by these changes. Consequently, the entries reflect extensive research in current literature, both textbooks and periodicals, in addition to conferences with many nurses in active practice.
