Matthew Parker, wurde 1970 in El Salvador als Sohn einer Auswanderer-Familie geboren und wuchs in England, Norwegen und Barbados auf. Er schrieb für mehrere Zeitungen in England, arbeitete an einer Vielzahl an TV- und Radio-Programmen mit und unterrichtete auf der ganzen Welt. Zudem arbeitete er in diversen Bereichen der Buch-Branche. Zu seinen Bestsellern und von Kritikern gefeierten Büchern zählt – neben Monte Cassino, Panama Fever und The Sugar Barons – Goldeneye, das nun erstmals auf Deutsch vorliegt. Er lebt mit seiner Familie in East London.
