Miles Franklin’s novel is a great example of classical prose, however, the book raises questions which are still relevant nowadays: narrow social boundaries, stereotypes, responsibility and desire, as well as the conflict of opportunities, ambitions and social environment. Incredible descriptions of Australian nature organically complement the story and make it even brighter.

Неймовірні описи австралійської природи органічно доповнюють оповідь та роблять її ще яскравішою.
