This is a story of a flower. It did not grow as quickly as all the other flowers in the garden, but that did not make it any less special in the eyes of God. This little flower became known throughout the world as the Easter lily. This is a story to teach children that although they are small and feel weak sometimes, each and every one of them is important in God’s eyes. He has a special purpose for everyone, even children. Chapter 3 in the book of Ecclesiastes says that for everything there is a season, and verse 11 states, 'He has made everything beautiful in its own time.’ It is important for children to understand that even though they are small, in time they will grow into beautiful young men and women to carry out God’s plan in their lives.
