The book talks about why character building important, how to develop it, character and leadership, character and service, character at home, what are values and how to determine them, why is persistence necessary in our lives among other areas. This is because character is the core thing in our society and everybody needs to have it. Every person is delighted to have promotion at work, good working environment, good family ties and also good reputation. All the above are the fruits or the manifestation. Just like we admire beautiful fruits from a tree. But for the tree to have all the beautiful fruits the roots must be healthy enough. These roots are what we term as character. Therefore character is how we make our decisions in life and these decisions determine our attitude, words and actions.
