Arthur Quiller-Couch remains more or less an obscure Victorian aesthete. Assembling his Oxford Book of English Verse in 1910, Quiller-Couch chose poets who were later rejected by Ezra Pound’s Modernist movement, but who later blossomed in the changed atmosphere of the Kennedy period and its aftermath.
