Sungdai Cho is Associate Professor of Korean and Linguistics in the Department of Asian and Asian American Studies and Director of Center for Korean Studies at the State University of New York at Binghamton. He received his doctorate in Linguistics from the University of Hawaii, and is internationally renowned for his research in Korean linguistics and its pedagogy. His publications include Korean: A Linguistic Introduction and Integrated Korean: High Advanced. He was a past chair of the Korean Special Interest Group (SIG) at the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages (ACTFL) and was also co-chair of the „National Standards for Learning Korean” task force associated with the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages (ACTFL).
