Thermophotovoltaics is the science and technology associated with the direct generation of electricity from high temperature heat. Potential applications include combined heat and power, portable and auxiliary power, radioisotope space power, industrial waste heat recovery and concentrated solar power. O autorze
The author studied electrical engineering at Heilbronn University in Germany and completed his Ph D in the field of thermophotovoltaics at Northumbria University in the UK in 2005. Currently, he works at the Institute of Technical Thermodynamics at the German Aerospace Center (DLR).
