’Is this your first time playing a round?’
Author Tiffany Fitzgerald cringed as she heard these words while walking the golf course for the first time with her male colleagues. Indeed it was her first time and while the score was less than perfect, even slightly humiliating that day, she pressed on to dispel the stereotype that golf is only a sport for White men. Playing from the Rough inspires Black women who have an interest in golf to conquer their fear of the golf course, or any other space that intimidates them.
You’ll hear stories about:
- Being 'The Black Girl in Marketing.’
- Figuring out the 'aha’ moments about the challenges faced during childhood, and how they can help you overcome obstacles in business.
- Creating opportunities to flourish regardless of circumstances.
Join Fitzgerald on her journey in founding Black Girls Golf, an organization providing access to affordable golf instruction, golf information and community for women who are interested in learning and thriving in a male-dominated sport. Playing from the Rough encourages women everywhere to overcome the odds and be brave enough to succeed in non-conventional spaces.
