David Tipton, Ph D, holds a B.S. in Pharmacy, an MBA in Marketing, and a Ph D in Management. He currently teaches in the management sequence at Duquesne University School of Pharmacy, where he is an associate professor. He developed the Post Baccalaureate Weekend Doctor of Pharmacy Program at Duquesne University, the first such program in the United States. Dr. Tipton has published in the Journal of the American Pharmaceutical Association, Health Marketing Quarterly, the Journal of Pharmaceutical Marketing and Management, and the Journal of Social and Administrative Pharmacy. Dr. Tipton has published three books, including Professionalism, Work and Clinical Responsibility in Pharmacy; Personal and Professional Growth for Health Care Professionals; and Supervision: A Professional’s Perspective. Prior to returning to graduate school, Dr. Tipton was a partner and owner in a four-store pharmacy group.
