Once upon a time, a long, long time ago and far, far away, there lived an old man and his wife. She had one daughter of her own, and he had one of his own. The old woman took a dislike to her step-daughter. Whatever her own daughter did, she praised her, for but whatever her step-daughter did, she grumbled at. The woman so hated her daughter and arranged to have her driven into the forest in mid-winter and left to die of cold. It so happened that the spoiled daughter also went into the forest.
In the middle of the forest both were visited by King Frost
