‘Mix the page-turning, stream-of-consciousness writing of novelist, Tom Wolfe, in The Electric Kool-Aid Acid Test, daily and nightly drinking sessions of a variety of libations in Ernest Hemingway’s, The Sun Also Rises, bathing beauties in the Elvis Presley movie, Girls, Girls, Girls, bombs dropping in the Oscar-winning movie, Platoon, articles in GOLF Magazine showcasing America’s best public and private courses, author of Hawaii, James Michener, telling how Japanese immigrants influenced the food of Hawaiian culture, and the You Tube video showing the go-go bar life, after midnight, on Soi Cowboy Street in Bangkok, Thailand, and you’ll get an idea of what to expect when reading Tee Time, the fantastic first time filmic novel of new author, and golf lover, Bob Maleski. But only some idea, because this book, with more twists and turns than an Oklahoma tornado, is filled with surprises.
‘Just reading one segment of Chapter Two, in which Stan recounts the crazy story of playing golf in Saigon, Vietnam, at the Tan Son Nhut Air Base Golf Club course, a woman caddie at his side, and finding the ball he sliced off the tee, in rough just inside a truly hazardous bunker made of sandbags and barbed wire – a South Vietnam Army soldier inside, ready to push a button and blow up the enemy, without yelling Fore! – I knew this novel was going to be very different and very entertaining.
‘I guarantee, you’ll agree, Tee Time is a winner, and be compelled to read the book a second time.’
– John Andrisani: Former senior instruction editor of GOLF Magazine and highly acclaimed author of golf books such as The Tiger Woods Way and Golf Heaven.

I grew up in Clearwater, Florida boating, fishing, playing baseball and golfing. I also took girls to the beach at night in my automobile to watch submarine races.I attended the University of Florida and joined the Army in the 60’s. After my tour in Japan, I returned to the University of Florida on the GI Bill. It was there that I was hired out of college to become a computer tech for UNIVAC. After a 18 month tour of work in South Vietnam I moved to Miami where I studied Computer software at Control Data Institute. There was no computer science degree at that time in college. Computer Consulting software became my career for over 30 years and like many young men I went West. I ended up in Hawaii for a 6 month contract with Hawaiian Telehone which lasted for 4 years. I then started my own company USA Hawaii Realty Corp. in 1989. The lost decade of Japan hit my company economically and I closed it in 1993 and moved back to Florida as a Computer Consultant working in North Florida for various corporations. My last position was merging a variety of software systems in the Nations Bank and Bank of America Merger which we did in Jacksonville Florida and Concord, California. I then became an active realtor in St Augustine, Florida and thoroughly enjoyed the small drinking town of St Augustine with a fishing problem. When COVID19 hit town, I moved home to Clearwater after 50+ years to be close to my son and brothers and sisters. Since we were closed for a year, I wrote my first novel TEE TIME. I hope you all enjoy it, and my next novel titled ‘Chantilly Acres’ will be out in the spring of 2022.
