Camilo José Cela (1916 – 2002) war ein spanischer Schriftsteller und erhielt 1989 den Nobelpreis für Literatur. Cela nahm zunächst auf Seiten Francos am Spanischen Bürgerkrieg teil, wurde aber später zu einem radikalen Gegner seiner Diktatur. Celas Werk umfasst neben Romanen und Gedichten, auch Essyas und Reisetagebücher.
