Dr. Dinesh Singh is Principal Scientist, Division of Plant Pathology, ICAR-Indian Agricultural Research Institute, New Delhi. He did his Ph.D. in the year 1995 from Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi (Uttar Pradesh). He joined ICAR on 20th January, 1997, IIVR, Varanasi. Dr. Singh has significantly contributed in the field of Plant Pathology. He has worked on population biology, diversity, diagnosis, host-pathogen interaction, epidemiology, biological control and integrated management of bacterial diseases of plants and postharvest diseases of fruits and vegetables. Dr. Singh received many prestigious awards. He has published more than 100 research articles in the international and national journals of repute, 8 books, 35 popular articles and training and practical manuals to his credit besides many chapters in different books in area of Plant Pathology.
