The messages in the book are spiritual in nature though they are secular and do not adhere to any religion. They aim to inspire us and our children to be in the present moment, to be deeply connected to ourselves and each other and to the magic and beauty in our world. They aim for us to be in a more meditative state than a busy or anxious state and do so through the peaceful and joyful nature of the imagery and the text.
As a self published author / illustrator Edie has sold over a 1000 copies of this book, its popularity continuing to rise. Edie has participated for over 12 years now in the local market scene of NYC and customers have raved about this book.

Edie is a self taught artist. She is a author/illustrator. She was born and raised in The Netherlands but moved to the US to embark on an adventure at the age of 20. She lived in many different places before settling in the NYC area where she has been successfully creating and selling her paintings and children’s books for over 15 years. Her paintings have a dreamy and magical quality, almost always center around children and generally evoke feelings of connection, wonder and positivity. Her books are written in a simple yet profound style, the words and paintings are geared towards inspiring us and our children to be in the present moment and to connect deeply to ourselves, each other and the beauty in our world.Edie’s work has been shown in the NYC Union Square Holiday market for 10+ years, as well as local galleries and museums. She has licensed her artwork for greeting cards that are widely distributed.
