These fears of patients of not being able to live or survive, consciously or unconsciously lead to a commitment to countervail the perceived threats. The special feature of the individual analytical psychology is in emphasising the individual experience and in the concept of double dynamics of compensation and sense of community. This vision is the result of case vignettes from therapy.
