Hans Koning is a prolific and critically acclaimed author. In addition to having served as a staff reporter for the New Yorker and Atlantic Monthly, he has published thirteen novels, several of which have been made into movies, ten non-fiction books, three plays, two translations, and a children”s book. Koning”s newest novel, Zeeland, or Elective Concurrences, has also been published by NewSouth Books. Koning died in 2006 at the age of 85.
