Harsha V. Dehejia has a double doctorate, one in medicine and the other in Ancient Indian Culture, both from Mumbai University. He is a member of the Royal College of Physicians of London, Glasgow and Canada. He is a practicing Physician and Professor of Indian Studies at Carleton University in Canada. His main interest is in Indian Aesthetics. Some of his publications are: Celebrating Krishna: Sensuous Images and Sacred Words (2005); A Festival of Krishna (2007); Akriti to Sanskriti, A Journey of Indian Forms (2010); Krishna”s Forgotten Poets (2010); Pahari Paintings of Ancient Romance: The Love Story of Usha Aniruddha (2010); Painted Words: Kangra Paintings of Matiram”s Rasraj (2012).He has curated many exhibitions and has made a documentary film, Ateliers of Love, 500 Years of Krishna Painting.
