This edited volume presents seven chapters detailing recent progress in the field of cancer research. Chapter One explores the application of robotic surgery to radical cystectomy, highlighting patient selection, surgical approach, perioperative and oncologic outcomes as well as some areas of controversy in the literature. Chapter Two describes the principles of cytoreductive surgery and hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy procedures with its potential risks for patients and staff. Finally, Chapter Seven discusses the use of gene therapy in management of squamous cell carcinoma.
