Leigh and Carol earned Bachelor of Science degrees in Education from the State University of New York (Oswego). Carol taught in both elementary and high schools. Leigh served in the U.S. Navy (WWII and Korea) and earned a diploma from the Simmons School of Embalming and Mortuary Science and a Th.M. from Dallas Theological Seminary.
The Adams have five children (John, Jeffrey, Thomas, Roger and Julie), thirteen grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
