Luca Vargiu teaches Aesthetics at the University of Cagliari, Italy. His research interests include Medieval and contemporary image theories, the theories of art history, the relationship between aesthetics and hermeneutics, and the philosophy of landscape, having authored two books and several papers on these subjects. He is member of the Società Italiana d”Estetica and the Istituto “Emilio Betti” di Scienza e Teoria del Diritto nella storia e nella società. In 2009, he won the Premio Nuova Estetica (New Aesthetics Prize).
