MARK BUTTON is Principal Lecturer and Associate Head (Curriculum) at the Institute of Criminal Justice Studies, University of Portsmouth, UK,  prior to which he was a Research Assistant to the Rt Hon Bruce George MP. He has written extensively on private security, policing and fraud. His publications include
