Mariah Clark Skewes, known in her real life as Mary Boyle, writes whimsical and touching books for children, teens, and adults, all with a theme of imagination and hopefulness. Her degrees in Psychology and Special Education guided her as a teacher and school administrator, working with kiddos who presented the greatest challenges – yet yielded the greatest rewards. She is the proud parent of four adult children and four grands, living with her husband on a vineyard in the Sierra Nevada foothills where they grow wine grapes and raise honeybees and Babydoll Southdown Sheep. When not writing, she enjoys volunteering as a CASA with children in foster care, competing in world marathons, travelling, and spending time with family.
