Sayani Mitra is a Post-doctoral Research Associate at The Open University, UK, working on an ESRC-funded research project Children Caring on the Move. She is a sociologist with interest in reproductive sociology, reproductive technologies, social reproduction, political economy, migration, ethnography and comparative research. She received her Ph D from the Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Göttingen, Germany. She is the co-editor of Cross-Cultural Comparisons on Surrogacy and Egg Donation: Interdisciplinary perspectives from India, Germany and Israel (2018, Palgrave Macmillan).
