According to the WHO Fact Sheet (January 2020), the numbers of people globally depressed are more than 264 million people! The sheet goes on to describe that depression is ‘a common illness’. In the recent COVID-19 epidemic, studies have shown that the prevalence of depressive disorder was around four times than what was reported in the second quarter of 2019 showing how depression has affected our lives due to a pandemic.
