| This companion story branches off from chapter 9 of The Numen Chronicles | Volume Four: Demon’s Bane |

After watching Luther choose Varana over him yet again, heartbroken Danford makes the painful decision to leave the Yule party and spend the holidays in solitude. But as he slips away into the night, an unexpected encounter with Freja, the powerful and alluring Luna of his pack, changes everything.

Drawn together by fate and an irresistible connection, Danford quickly realizes that Freja is much more than just his Luna-she might be the missing piece he’s been longing for. As they navigate a whirlwind of emotions, desire, and pack traditions, Danford must grapple with his growing feelings and the realization that their bond runs deeper than he ever imagined.

But will their connection be enough to weather the challenges ahead, or will old wounds and hidden fears pull them apart?
