Terry Castle is the author of seven books of criticism, and contributes regularly to the London Review of Books, Times Literary Supplement and New York Times Book Review. She is Walter A. Haas Professor in the Humanities at Stanford University, and, in her spare time, is a visual artist and miniature dachshund enthusiast. Terry Castle lives in San Francisco.
