Rabbits, Poets, and Puppets (RPP) is a collection of modern American poetry written by Vincent Convertito and Thomas Koch that fits perfectly on a book shelf and even better near a bottle of red wine and a warm fire. From the most obscure corner of a room to the infinite expanse of a night sky, two oddly similar men compromise on a single vision in this very uncommon collaboration.
Rabbits, Poets & Puppets is a unique presentation of 53 original poems selected and arranged into 4 parts with all the care and consideration that a musical group should take for their dozen or so tracks that will make up an album.
Together for the first time, Koch and Convertito offer this first installment in a series of previously unreleased and new poetry as ‘just the beginnings’ of their readily accessible and immediately engaging poetry.
Forget what you know or don’t like about poetry and let Rabbits, Poets & Puppets entertain and inspire readers, writers and admirers of all things good in the world.
Sobre o autor
Vincent Convertito is a published poet & poetry teacher. Pursuing an MFA in creative writing. Was an English teacher at public school in Fairfield County before leaving education to pursue other writing and travel endeavors. Working exclusively of Rabbits, Poets & Puppets (RPP) resulted from the many work shop sessions where we wanted to create new works but found ourselves discussing older previously unpublished works that begged our attention as they found themselves to be related to the many topics we entertained after glasses & bottles of red wine. Vincent lives in Shelton, CT and is always looking forward to the next travel adventure. With his sights on Greece & Italy, he considers himself fortunate to have been to Australia, New Zealand, Spain, Portugal, Canada, Mexico, the Netherlands, Norway, Argentina, Chile, & Iceland with plenty of road trips all over the US in between.
Tom Koch is a published poet, poetry enthusiast and poetry teacher. A veteran English teacher at a public school in Fairfield County. He has converted his colonial barn into a studio for both writing and wood working. Many writing sessions for RPP took place in the barn as well as his wood burning stove-warmed kitchen. Tom lives in Trumbull, CT in a haunted colonial that dates back to the 1890’s. He lives with his two girls and wife (and piles of perfectly axe-split wood).
