Autor: William Black

Apoio
William Black (1841-1898) began his writing career as a journalist and during the Prussian-Austrian war of 1866 was held prisoner when he went to the front lines as a reporter for the Morning Star. Afterwards, he began a thirty-year career as a popular novelist. A Daughter of Heth shot him into fame when it came out in 1871. It erased the disappointment of his previous novels and paved the way for the success of such works as The Strange Adventures of Phaeton, Madcap Violet, Sunrise, and Judith Shakespeare.
