There Are Materials Available On The Indian Freshwater Fishes With Sufficient Information By The Renowned Scientists Of The Country But, No Comprehensive Data Available On The Fishes Of The Rive Godavari And Its Rivulets, A Major Source For The Fish Fauna Of The Region. I Do Not Claim That, Information About The Fishes Is Sufficient To The Extent Of Research, But It Definitely Useful To The Student At Undergraduate And Post- Graduate Levels. It Is Also Useful To The Researchers Who Are Working On Biological Aspects Of Freshwater Fishes To Some Extent. To Make It Comprehensive And The Demand Of Post-Graduate Student Having Fishery Science As A Special Subject, Some Of The Topics Like Water Analysis, Biochemical Estimations And Hematological Estimations Have Been Included For The Methodological Approaches While Studying Fish Biology.
