This volume contains eight selected chapters discussing recent advances in nanotechnology research and development. Chapter One discusses the dielectric and microwave absorbing properties of epoxy composites which are comprised of nanocarbon and/or inorganic particles. Chapter Two examines the use of electromagnetic heating enhanced with magnetic nanoparticles to perform cryopreservation of a large volume cell suspension. Chapter Three reviews the current state of the art and perspectives on clay-epoxy nanocomposites. Chapter Four provides an overview of the process to synthesize hematite nanoparticles and an examination of their applications.
