About the author

Richard Gilpin is a counsellor, cognitive behavioural (CBT) psychotherapist, and mindfulness facilitator. He has trained extensively in mindfulness-based practices since the 1990s. Richard has worked professionally with people suffering with all recognised types of mood and anxiety disorders since 2007. He has also trained and practised with several Buddhist teachers, set up and managed meditation centres, and facilitated groups and courses dedicated to mindful living. His Masters research into the origins and practices of Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) was published in 2008.
